Numerical Modeling
ACTION uses sophisticated groundwater modeling software’s to support the planning and decision making process involved in groundwater management.
Capable of 2D, 3D and 4D simulations, modeling software is used to make a range of predictions about groundwater behaviour including the groundwater level behavior, well yield, locating the pumping wells and time required for the groundwater control system to reach its objective.
The model is an important tool that assists in designing an optimized cost-effective groundwater control system, allowing for the consideration of site parameters such as layer elevations, boundary conditions, hydraulic conductivity, recharge, shoring system, transient and steady state modeling.
The modeling software is not limited to the design stage; the model can be calibrated to match the site conditions using accurate data gathered from the operation of the groundwater control system. Calibration of the model can forcast some future groundwater level behavior and flow condition which would assist in the optimisation of the pumping system.
